National Youth Leadership Training Central Florida Council, BSA

The Central Florida Council Training Committee is pleased to offer National Youth Leadership Training Conference in the summer of 2006.  Please begin to think about which Scouts in your troop should attend NYLT. 

Built on the legacy of past JLT successes, the new syllabus integrates the best of modern leadership theory with the traditional strengths of the Scouting experience. Through activities, presentations, challenges, discussions, and audio-visual support, NYLT participants will be engaged in a unified approach to leadership that will give them the skills and confidence to lead well. Through a wide range of activities, events, games, and adventures, NYLT participants will work and play together as they put into action the best that Scouting has to offer.

This conference will be open to Boy Scouts who meet the following criteria:

    --At least 13 years old
    --At least First Class rank
    --Currently serving in a troop position of responsibility
    --Previous long-term camping experience
    --Be recommended/approved by his Scoutmaster

Please carefully consider the Scouts you send to NYLT, as the amount of benefit a young man will get from the conference is directly proportional to his level of maturity, attitude and focus.

Registration fees must be received by Council Office by July 1, 2006.
