Hello
Scouting Parents! This year we will be offering four merit badges for
your boy's trek to Eagle: Citizenship in the Nation; Citizenship in the
Community; Personal Management and Communications. This would not be
possible without the help of fellow Scout parents. To continue offering
Eagle merit badge instruction at our local meetings the Troop needs many
new instructor volunteers from our Scouting parents. Troop 62 supplies
all the books and previous instructors can help you set up a training
schedule. The classes are held at the Scout meeting on Monday nights and
there are backup instructors available if you cannot make a meeting.
Being an instructor is fun and very rewarding. The time you spend as an
instructor will help the Troop and will make your son proud!
Besides
the four merit badges I mentioned above, additional Eagle required merit
badges we offer at the Monday night meetings include Citizenship in the
World, Personal Fitness, and Family Life. The requirements for the merit
badges can be found at the Troop 62 website.
